Some cities do foldable slices. Lakeland does squares — at least it has at J. Burns’ since 1965. Our Edgewood Drive shop bakes the same pizza Polk County grew up on: a thin, crispy crust from a dough made specially for us, topped edge to edge and cut into squares, the style pizza people in other towns call tavern-style. Around here, it’s just J. Burns’.

This is a family pizza shop in every sense. We host spirit nights for Lakeland schools and churches, feed Little League teams after games, and know a lot of our regulars by their order.
